All you need to know about California Canoe & Kayak Paddlefest2004. Hope to see you there!
The weather should be perfect and not too hot.
Date: Sunday, June 27th
Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Location: Lake Natomas, Nimbus Flats State Park
Parking: The state will be charging $5 parking fee
Demo fee: $10 a person, Kids under 12 free
All the proceeds will go to the CSUS Aquatic Center Youth Programs and S.M.A.R.T.
What to bring: water, snacks or lunch, sunscreen, hat, retention device (chums) for sunglasses.
What to wear: wear light comfortable clothing, booties, water sandals or water shoes.
When you get there Check in at the CCK Tent:
The first 50 paying participants will receive a FREE dry bag.
All participants must read and sign a Liability Waiver.
You will be required to leave a Drivers License with us while your on the water.
Once you pay you will receive a wrist band. (can't demo without one)
After completing a mini paddling clinic you will receive a paddle and pfd.
Now it's time to get out and test some boats.
Please return the boats you paddle to the place you launched from.
Please be courteous to others who are waiting to test paddle.
We will have safety boaters out on the water all day.
There is a limited supply of Youth PFDs- If your kids have their own please bring them.
Lots of Adult PFDs and Paddles are available, but if you bring your own it may expedite the process for you.
Available to purchase on-site will be water, sunscreen, lip balm, hats, t-shirts, and sale items.
There will also be a selection of New and Used Sale Boats.
Our Rancho Cordova Store is conveniently located across Hwy 50 at the Nimbus Winery shopping center There will be sales staff there to help you with your purchases from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To get to the store: exit the park make a left on Hazel across the Hwy to Folsom Blvd, make a left onto Folsom Blvd and a left into the Nimbus Winery Parking Lot.
Any purchase made the day of the event by demo participants - CCK will pay the sales tax.
Our New Boat special of 10% off accessories when you purchase a new boat still applies.
Any Special Boat Orders placed the day of the event - CCK will pay the sales tax.
With any Boat purchase we are giving away FREE dry bag and a CCK T-shirt.

I have been to this and the Paddlefest in the Bay Area in Sept. several times.
It is a fun full day for the whole family or friends.
